 CROSS-PARTY TALKS: Brown and Banks WEE County MSP Keith Brown was branded a 'hooligan' by local Labour chiefs after he shouted and heckled the Prime Minister on a campaign visit to Dollar on Saturday.  FAREWELL: Legend David Bett HUNDREDS of mourners from all generations turned out last Thursday (April 8) for the funeral of a popular Alloa teenager who died suddenly a fortnight ago. Alloa Academy pupil David Bett died in hospital on Sunday, March 28 after suffering complications following a stomach upset.

Bosses of the conglomerate, which has a long history in the area, have hailed the start of work as a proof of their commitment to growing the business in Scotland and say it will create 70 jobs in the Wee County.  FIGHT FOCUS: The toilet facility THE controversial closure of Alloa’s public toilets has caused much anger in the community and well over 1,000 people have signed a petition to restore the facility. The community council for Alloa Central said Clackman-nanshire Council should have consulted residents before deciding to close the Maple Court public toilets and baby-changing facilities last month.

 DEFIANT: Nathan Foxton A BRAZEN Sauchie man who punched a woman on the head has been given a third, and potentially final, chance to obey his court punishment. Nathan Anthony Foxton was only 16-years-old when he carried out the attack on a woman on Sauchie’s Main Street on July 30, 2005, brandishing a knife at her and injuring her by punching her on the head.
