Boy charged in Clark assault

 A TEENAGER has been charged with the assault of a devoted dad who died just three weeks after an alleged attack outside his Clackmannan home.
 
Stuart Clark died at Stirling Royal Infirmary after collapsing at his Devonway family home on April 21.

 TWO Wee County bandmates will follow in the footsteps of their musical heroes when they play Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club later this month.
 
On May 31, former Alva Academy pupils Christie Scott and Martin Mullady will play with their band Built on Tradition at the same club where the Beatles started.

 ALLOA Athletic boss Allan Maitland was keen to focus on his side’s promotion play-off push after seeing Stirling Albion pip his side to the league title on goal difference.
 
Alloa’s 3-1 win over Cowdenbeath wasn’t enough to wrestle the title out of Albion’s hands but the victory has given the Wasps the psychological advantage ahead of this week’s double header against the Blue Brazil.

EYE CATHCHING: The statues
 THE multi-million-pound im-provements to Alloa’s town centre took one step closer to completion this weekend.
 
Though not yet unveiled, the three 10ft figures created by artist Rob Mulholland were installed into the town’s High Street on Sunday (May 2), with the events space set to be finished by Friday (May 7).

Clackmannan dad-of-one Stuart Clark died in hospital last Wednesday (April 21).

Vandals cause nursery closure

VANDALISED: Ladywell Nursery
 CHILDREN at a Wee County nursery were devastated last week when they had to leave their nursery after vandals caused the building to flood.
 
More than 50 children at the Ladywell nursery in Tullibody had to be collected on Thursday afternoon when the building’s water tank started leaking through the nursery ceiling.
