 UNITED: Labour and SNP have hit out WEE County councillors have united in condemning senior council officials for employing the wife of a top director in a £300-a-day consultancy role. As revealed in the Wee County News last week, Lynne Blair, the wife of Director of Services to People Grahame Blair, was paid nearly £8,000 over a six month, one-day-a-week consultancy contract to help deliver his pet project – a telecare system designed to improve service and cut the council’s care costs.  DAMP: Alloa dad Mark Harrison AN ALLOA dad has been turfed out of his new council home after serious damp was found throughout the property – despite inspectors giving it the all clear before hand. Mark Harrison had been homeless for 18 months, and though things were beginning to look up when he was given the keys to the Argyll Street property in December, his joy was short-lived when only a number of weeks later, while decorating the property, he noticed a damp patch in the bathroom.
